Refund & Return Policy

This Refund and Return Policy ("Policy") applies to all transactions conducted through Kabadigo (operated by Moroliya Scrap Venture Private Limited), including our website and mobile application. By selling scrap through our platform, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below. Please read this Policy carefully before completing any transaction.
1. Core Policy: No Refunds, No Returns on Sold Scrap
⚠️ ONCE YOU SELL YOUR SCRAP THROUGH KABADIGO, THE TRANSACTION IS FINAL. YOU CANNOT CANCEL THE SALE, RETURN THE SCRAP, OR CLAIM A REFUND AFTER THE SCRAP HAS BEEN COLLECTED AND PAYMENT HAS BEEN PROCESSED.
Scrap materials — including but not limited to metals (ferrous and non-ferrous), paper, plastic, glass, electronic waste (e-waste), rubber, and any other recyclable items — once collected by our Service Partners and transferred to recycling facilities, undergo immediate processing, sorting, shredding, or melting. Due to the nature of scrap recycling, it is physically impossible and commercially impracticable to return the exact materials to you after collection. Therefore, Kabadigo operates under a strict "no refunds, no returns, no exchanges" policy for all scrap sales.
This policy applies regardless of whether you believe the price offered was lower than expected, the weight assessment differed from your estimate, or you change your mind after the pickup is complete.
2. When Does the Sale Become Final?
The sale of your scrap becomes final and non-refundable at the earliest of the following events:
- Event A — Completion of physical pickup: When our Service Partner collects the scrap from your designated location, weighs it (either on-site or at a certified weighbridge), and you accept the final payment amount (either through digital transfer or cash). At this moment, ownership of the scrap transfers to the Service Partner or Kabadigo’s designated recycling channel.
- Event B — You confirming the transaction in the app: After the Service Partner submits the final weight and price, you are required to confirm the transaction via OTP or in-app approval. Once you provide confirmation, the transaction becomes irrevocable.
- Event C — Payment disbursal: If Kabadigo processes payment to your bank account, UPI ID, or digital wallet, the sale is deemed final and binding. You cannot dispute or reverse the transaction after payment receipt except in cases of proven technical duplication (see Section 5 below).
Important: If you are not physically present during pickup but have scheduled a "contactless pickup" or left scrap at a designated location, your act of scheduling the pickup constitutes acceptance that the transaction will be final upon collection by the partner.
3. No Return of Scrap — Absolute Prohibition
Kabadigo and its Service Partners do not offer any mechanism to return scrap to you after collection, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- You changed your mind about selling a particular item (e.g., sentimental value, antique metal).
- You believe the scrap was worth more than the amount paid.
- A third party (family member, employee) authorised the sale without your permission — you are responsible for securing your account and premises.
- The scrap was collected by mistake due to an address error — you must verify pickup details before confirmation.
- Disputes between owners (e.g., landlord vs. tenant) — Kabadigo relies on the person scheduling the pickup to have authority over the scrap.
Once scrap enters the recycling supply chain, it is immediately processed. We cannot retrieve, identify, or restore your original materials. By using Kabadigo, you accept this irreversible nature of scrap recycling.
4. No Refunds for Price or Weight Disagreements
Kabadigo provides estimated pricing based on the scrap type and approximate weight you declare at the time of booking. However, the final payout is determined after physical inspection, sorting, and weighing by the Service Partner. You agree that:
- The final weight determined by the Service Partner's certified weighing scale (or weighbridge) shall be considered final and binding.
- The per-kilogram rate offered is based on prevailing market rates and the actual quality/grade of scrap (e.g., clean vs. contaminated plastic, pure copper vs. mixed metal).
- If the final amount is lower than the estimate due to impurities, moisture content, or incorrect declaration, you are not entitled to any refund or price adjustment after accepting the transaction.
- If you refuse to accept the final amount at the time of pickup, the Service Partner may cancel the pickup. However, once you accept the payment, no refund or retrospective price revision is possible.
We strongly recommend that you remain present during the weighing process and raise any concerns before confirming the transaction in the app. After confirmation, the matter is closed.
5. Extremely Limited Exceptions (Not a Return of Scrap)
The only scenarios in which Kabadigo may process a refund (monetary reversal) are technical or operational errors on our part, and they never involve returning the physical scrap to you. These exceptions are:
- Duplicate payment: If our system erroneously processes the same transaction's payment twice (e.g., two UPI credits for one pickup), we will reverse the duplicate amount.
- Wrongful deduction: If Kabadigo incorrectly deducts a service fee or penalty from your wallet/account without valid reason, we will refund the deducted amount.
- Failed pickup but payment processed: In rare cases where a Service Partner marks scrap as collected but never physically picks it up due to system error, and you can provide evidence, we may reverse the payment. However, this does not entitle you to return any scrap.
Under no circumstances will Kabadigo: (a) return the physical scrap to you; (b) compensate you for the difference between final price and your expected price; (c) allow a "change of mind" refund after scrap collection.
6. Cancellation Before Pickup — Your Only Window
You may cancel a scheduled scrap pickup without any penalty only if the cancellation occurs before the Service Partner has been dispatched to your location or before the scrap is physically collected. The cancellation window is as follows:
- Free cancellation period: You can cancel any booking up to 1 hour before the scheduled pickup time via the app.
- Last-minute cancellation: If you cancel less than 1 hour before the pickup window, or after the partner has arrived at your location but before collection, Kabadigo reserves the right to levy a nominal cancellation fee (up to ₹100) to compensate the partner for travel. However, the scrap remains with you, and no sale occurs.
- No cancellation after collection: Once the Service Partner has physically taken possession of your scrap, cancellation and return of scrap are absolutely impossible. You will receive payment based on the final assessment, and the transaction is final.
To cancel a booking, use the "Cancel" button in the app’s active orders section. If you are unable to cancel due to technical issues, contact support immediately before the partner arrives.
7. Dispute Resolution — No Refund, But Escalation Possible
If you believe that the Service Partner misrepresented the weight or applied incorrect rates, you may file a dispute through the Kabadigo app within 48 hours of transaction completion. Our dispute resolution team will review evidence (photos, weighbridge receipts, chat logs). However, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Dispute resolution may result in a partial credit or goodwill coupon for future pickups, but never a cash refund or return of scrap.
- The final decision of Kabadigo's dispute resolution committee is binding. If we find the Service Partner at fault, we may adjust our internal records and penalise the partner, but this does not entitle you to a refund of the transaction amount.
- If you are dissatisfied with our resolution, you may pursue legal remedies as per the Terms and Conditions (governed by Mumbai courts), but you expressly waive any right to demand return of physical scrap.
8. Hazardous / Prohibited Items — No Refund, Additional Liability
If you sell scrap that includes hazardous, illegal, or prohibited materials (as defined in our Terms and Conditions, Section 3), Kabadigo and its Service Partners reserve the right to:
- Immediately cancel the transaction without any payment to you.
- Confiscate and dispose of the prohibited items at your cost.
- Impose a penalty of up to ₹5,000 or the value of the scrap (whichever is higher) for violation of environmental or safety regulations.
- Report you to local authorities.
In such cases, you are not entitled to any refund, return of items, or compensation. You remain fully liable for the proper disposal costs.
9. Payment Failures / Reversals (Without Scrap Return)
In the rare event that a digital payment is initiated but fails due to technical errors (e.g., UPI timeout, bank server issue), and the scrap has already been collected, Kabadigo will reprocess the payment within 5 business days. If reprocessing is impossible, we may issue a refund to your original payment method. However, this does not mean you can return the scrap — the sale remains final, and we will ensure you receive the correct payment amount.
For any payment-related disputes where money was deducted but no payment was received by you, please contact payments@kabadigo.com. Refunds for such technical errors will be processed within 7–10 business days.
10. No Statutory Cooling-Off Period for Scrap Sales
Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India), certain distance contracts provide a "cooling-off" period or right to withdrawal. However, scrap materials are perishable or subject to immediate transformation upon collection. You expressly agree that scrap sold through Kabadigo falls under the exemption for goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Therefore, the statutory right of withdrawal (Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act) does not apply to scrap transactions once the scrap has been handed over to our Service Partner. You waive any right to cancel the contract after collection.
11. Your Acknowledgment and Consent
By scheduling a scrap pickup, creating an account, or accepting payment through Kabadigo, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
- You have read, understood, and accepted this Refund & Return Policy.
- You understand that once scrap is collected, it cannot be returned to you under any circumstances.
- You waive any right to demand a refund, exchange, or return of physical scrap after transaction completion.
- The only possible financial adjustments are for technical payment errors as described in Section 5, and these adjustments never involve returning the scrap.
- Kabadigo and Moroliya Scrap Venture Private Limited bear no liability for your change of mind or after-sale regrets.
12. Modifications to This Refund Policy
Kabadigo reserves the right to amend this Refund & Return Policy at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification at least 15 days prior to the effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. However, any transaction initiated before the effective date of a policy change will be governed by the policy version in effect at the time of the transaction.

Response commitment: We acknowledge refund-related complaints within 2 business days and resolve technical payment errors within 10 business days. For all other matters, please note that no refund will be issued as per this policy.
🔔 FINAL NOTICE — READ BEFORE SELLING: Kabadigo operates a strict NO REFUND, NO RETURN policy for all scrap sales. Once you confirm the transaction and the scrap is collected, the sale is final. You will never receive back the physical scrap you sold, regardless of any dispute or change of mind. If you are not comfortable with this policy, please do not use Kabadigo's services.
BY SCHEDULING A PICKUP, ACCEPTING PAYMENT, OR USING KABADIGO IN ANY MANNER, YOU IRREVOCABLY AGREE THAT SOLD SCRAP CANNOT BE RETURNED AND NO REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED EXCEPT FOR LIMITED TECHNICAL PAYMENT ERRORS.
